Our Weekly Worship Ministry

Have you ever considered how Mark 12:30 is directly related to our worship to God? Jesus was asked “what is the greatest commandment?” and His response was, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Jesus’ response was one that calls us to a true worship experience and an encounter with God by responding to Him willfully (heart), emotionally (soul), intellectually (mind), and physically (strength).

There is perhaps no greater function in the church than worship. This is what we were created to do. A recent Chris Tomlin song declares that “you and I were made to worship, you and I were called to love…” We are so blessed at First Baptist, Daytona Beach to have the opportunity to worship and express our love to God together each and every week. We express our worship to Him in many ways including the sacrifices of praise through songs, hymns, drama, scripture, spoken word, and prayer - and each of these elements is vital to help us experience authentic worship.

There are many ways that you can express your worship to God this spring at First Baptist. All age group choirs are meeting regularly and we encourage you to prayerfully consider joining us if you would like to express your worship in this way.

Do you love to sing, play a musical instrument, or enjoy participating in drama? Then this is the ministry for you. You can choose from the Voices of Victory Adult Choir, praise teams, adult ensembles, handbells, FBC Orchestra as well as age group choirs from preschool to senior adults. The drama team participates in skits, worship drama and special events.

Weekend Services at First Baptist Church are THE place to connect with God each week. Creative elements of music, prayer, drama, and testimony combined with relevant life changing messages from God's word are the norm of the new First Baptist. Our goal is life change. Our aim is Jesus Christ. Our atmosphere is worship. You will be glad you did! When you arrive, stop by the Welcome Center and the Connection Cafe for a cup of coffee. Directions to FBC
First Baptist Church is Located in the heart of downtown Daytona Beach, Florida at 118. N. Palmetto Ave. just off International Speedway Blvd. and N.Ridgewood Ave. which is Route 1. You can take the International Speedway Blvd.(Route 92) Exit off Highway 95 and go East toward Daytona Beach. The church is located just past Route 1 (Ridgewood) on the left. North Palmetto is one block East of N. Ridgewood Ave.
