What Should I Expect?

First Kids' Ministry nurtures young hearts with engaging Bible lessons, fun activities, and a loving, faith-filled environment.

Children are greeted by friendly and caring volunteers who are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where kids can learn about God’s love and grow in their faith. The First Kids strategy is adapted from Luke 2:52 which explains how, as a child, Jesus “increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.”  We want the same for your kiddos!  Every activity is designed to enhance a child’s spiritual, social and physical development.

First Kids Programs for Every Stage

First Kids Elementary

Kids in Kindergarten thru 5th-grade engage in rotating activities including Bible stories, crafts, music, games, and team-building, fostering spiritual growth, creativity, and friendship in a fun, nurturing environment.

First Kids Preschool

Preschoolers (infants thru age four) are nurtured in a fun and caring environment where they can explore, learn, and grow. Through age-appropriate activities, they experience love, joy, and the foundational teachings of faith in a safe and welcoming space.

First Kids Sundays is a strategy designed to engage children in meaningful spiritual growth. The program includes dynamic worship, interactive Bible lessons, small group discussions, and creative activities. This comprehensive approach ensures kids connect with God’s Word, build friendships, and develop a strong foundation of faith. A curriculum entitled Go! provides the structure for learning and engaging God’s Word.  Activities on Sunday mornings are planned on a rotating schedule from 9:15 AM until 12:15 PM.

First Kids Midweek is a 90-minute program that offers children an engaging midweek spiritual boost. The program features interactive Bible lessons, lively worship, and fun activities all designed to provide a midweek connection to faith, friendship, and personal growth in a nurturing environment.

On Wednesdays, preschoolers continue in the Go! curriculum to reinforce Sunday teachings.  Elementary kids explore faith using KidzLife with carefully crafted lessons, journals, and songs to be accessible to kids without cheapening the message with man-made moral lessons or trivia.

 

Checkin begins at 6:20 PM, but we invite you and your family to join us for a snack supper beginning at 6 PM on the patio.

Several steps ensure the First Kids ministry environments are safe for all participants.  A background check and an interview process is required for every volunteer.  Ongoing training is provided for volunteers so that each is equipped to maintain a safe ministry environment.  A copy of policy and procedures are available to you upon request. A secure checkin system is in place to ensure that children are only released to parents and approved caregivers.  Finally, the First Kids ministry area is a limited access environment and all areas are video monitored for safety. Only kids, parents, and approved volunteers are allowed on the kids ministry hallway.
